Visa-sponsored roles for skilled workers

Get sponsored to work in Australia.

If you're a skilled hospitality worker, healthcare professional or qualified tradesperson, Australian employers are hiring, and we help match you to roles that come with full visa sponsorship support.

Visa Types We Work With

Four pathways to working in Australia.

Each visa serves a different purpose. We help match you to the one that fits your role, your timeline and your goals, then guide your sponsoring employer through the application.

Are You Eligible?

What Australian employers look for.

Visa sponsorship requires meeting specific criteria. Here are the core areas we'll check before introducing you to an employer.

Skills & qualifications

Recognised qualifications or significant work experience in your trade. We help with skill assessments where required.

Relevant experience

Most visas require at least 2-3 years of full-time experience in the role you'll be sponsored for.

Functional English

IELTS 5.0 average is the typical baseline, with some streams requiring more. We'll guide you on which test to take.

Health & character

A medical exam and police clearance from each country you've lived in for over 12 months in the last 10 years.

Age limits

Generally under 45 for permanent visas (186, 494). The 482 has no age cap. Exemptions exist for some occupations.

Sponsoring employer

You need an Australian employer who is approved to sponsor and willing to nominate you for a genuine role.

How It Works

From application to arrival in Australia.

A clear path with us by your side every step. Most candidates land their first interview within 2-3 weeks of applying.

1

Apply & chat

Apply for a role on our jobs board. We review your profile and book a quick call to understand your background and goals.

2

Match to employers

We shortlist you to Australian employers actively sponsoring in your trade and arrange interviews, usually over video.

3

Offer & visa

Once an offer is made, the employer's migration agent lodges the visa nomination and your visa application together.

4

Land & settle

Visa granted. We help with relocation logistics: first-week accommodation tips, TFN, super fund and bank account setup.

Industries We Place

In-demand roles with active sponsorship.

These are the trades where Australian employers are most actively sponsoring overseas workers right now.

Common Questions

Visa sponsorship, answered.

How much does visa sponsorship cost the candidate?
In most cases, the sponsoring employer covers the nomination and Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) levy. The candidate typically pays for their own visa application fee, medical exam, police clearance and English test. We're upfront about who pays what before you accept any offer.
How long does the whole process take?
From application to landing in Australia, most candidates take 4-8 months. Interview and offer can happen within 2-4 weeks. The visa processing time itself depends on the stream and current Department of Home Affairs queues, typically 1-4 months for 482 priority occupations.
Can I bring my family with me?
Yes. Spouses or de facto partners and dependent children can be included on the same visa application. Partners get full work rights, and school-age children can attend Australian schools. We help with the family inclusion paperwork.
Do I need IELTS, or are other English tests accepted?
IELTS, PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge C1 Advanced and OET are all accepted. For most 482 roles, you need at least 5.0 average IELTS (or equivalent). For nursing and 186 PR, the bar is higher. We'll tell you exactly which test and score you need before you book it.
Can a 482 visa lead to permanent residency?
Yes. After working with your sponsor for 2-3 years on a 482 (Medium-Term stream), you may be eligible for permanent residency through the 186 visa under the Temporary Residence Transition stream. We work with employers who actively support this pathway.
Will Jobs Recruiter charge me a fee?
No. Our placement fees are paid by the employer, not by you. We will never ask you to pay us to find you a job. If anyone in this industry asks you for an upfront placement fee, walk away.
What happens if my visa application is refused?
We work only with employers using accredited migration agents, and we screen candidates carefully before introducing them, so refusals are rare. If a refusal does happen, the migration agent will explain your options, which may include appeal or applying under a different stream.
Do I need to be in Australia to apply?
No. Most candidates apply from offshore. Interviews are usually conducted over video. Once your visa is granted, you'll relocate and start work. Some candidates already in Australia on other visas (like working holiday or student) can transition to a sponsored visa onshore.
